“Time to give me my flowers. I don’t want them later on when I’m not here” young star Takeoff proclaimed just days before his murder on a Drink Champs podcast.

The Georgia native’s claim to fame was his participation in the trio Migos from 2008 until the group’s final split in late August 2022, counterparts Quavo and Takeoff announcing their duo album debut with the closing words for MigosWe just stand on loyalty, we stand on real deal loyalty… This ain’t got nothing to do with no label, no paperwork, no QC, no nothing” on Big Facts Podcast.

So early after his passing, a variety of rumors swirl. What we can confirm is that the duo was cruising through Houston earlier that evening, before attending a private party at an upscale bowling alley.

Witnesses allege that preceding the homicide, the duo participated in a game of dice that would escalate into a physical altercation between Quavo and the opposing party, that ultimately became fatal for Takeoff, who was shot in the head/neck area and the shooter wounded Quavo who was rushed to the hospital.

There was another victim injured who officials will not release the name of at this time. As of 8:23 AM EST, the ballistics process had not yet begun and no one had come forward to identify the perpetrator. Several high profile rappers were in attendance, and as rumors swirl again and again witnesses state that they will not share names.

If you see something, say something. Homicide investigators congregate at the scene as we type. Contact HPD (713) 884-3131 justice is all that there is left to honor the young star known as Takeoff, birth name Kirshnik Khari Ball.
