Made for me, an xoNecole x Toyota curated experience with Megan Good

By Niyah Huff

Atlanta, GA ) – March 19th & 20th, 2022 – Over the weekend xoNecole and Toyota celebrated Women’s History Month with “ Made For Me”, an immersive, two-day event held at Factory Atlanta, designed by Lemiga Events: Michelle Gainey and hosted by award-winning on-air talent, entertainment journalist, content creator, and podcaster Gia Peppers. Peppers kicked off the day with a warm introduction and a brief breakdown of the three paths to choose from as your focus for the day, which were love, abundance and purpose. The event featured three coaches of varying practices with programs created for each path; Dr. Nicole Garner Scott, a yogi, public speaker and financial planner, who led the room with a session of meditation and visualization each day, Dani Simone, an astrology coach and intuitive tarot reader and Dr. Aljuan Tartt, a Christian psychologist and ordained minister. After a full-course of informative healing the day ended in a conversation with actress, model and today, keynote speaker, Meagan Good

Taking the path of abundance for Day 1, the course began with yoga led by Dr. Garner Scott. We engaged in mild stretches like upward and downward facing dog and shunya mudra work to help release the empty space within and reduce mental stress. The session closed with three sun salutations which act as prayers in motion and remind us to flow through gratitude as we acknowledge the life energy of the sun. Further financial advice and guidance from Dr. Garner Scott can be found on her website, www.themoneyplaninc.com. Following yoga, the group sat down with Dani Simone for a conversation on Venus, Venus returns and how you can maximize your abundance manifestations through astrology. Venus represents our values, including our relationship with finances and material possessions, as well as attractiveness- how we attract and attraction to others. A Venus return refers to when venus transitions into the sign it was in during your time of birth. Simone explains that your Venus return is a “very fortunate time for you” and not the time to “sit in your house and hide away” but instead to pursue endeavors ten-fold because the stars are in your favor. She continues the discussion with analyses on Venus’ return in each sign, leaving us with her favorite affirmation for manifesting finances, “I accept money and expect it in unexpected ways.” To book a reading with Simone or purchase products from her holistic company, Moon Magick Co., visit her website at www.themysticmodel.com.

For Day 2 we followed the path of love and started the day with an insightful session with Dr. Tartt. Dr. Tartt specializes in marital therapy so naturally the focus of the conversation was love in relationships. Tartt covered the top five wants of both men and women in relationships and how you can take action to deliver on these desires. The first of these wants for women is communication, which sparked a conversation between Tartt and an attendee where they explained that their partner showed no interest in “deeper conversations” leaving the attendee wondering “does that mean we’re never going to dig deeper to learn more about each other?”. Tartt responded that what their partner is really communicating is that this is what their

relationships have always looked like; “they weren’t deep” and they’re comfortable, meanwhile the attendee is trying to “open them up”. As explained by Tartt this could also be a response rooted in fear, bringing up questions in their partner’s mind like, “Are you interviewing me? Are you trying to eliminate me?” or it could be a response to the attendee’s delivery. Tartt suggests moving like a “chill Oprah” and making the conversation “easy like Sunday morning” in order to bring the defenses down. Tartt ended the discussion by revealing that the biggest cause of separation in couples is lack of quality time and that “couples that actually schedule quality time have dope marriages”; followed by a prayer. Dr. Tartt offers marital classes on his website, www.drtartt.com and advice on various aspects of navigating relationships on his YouTube channel, Dr. Alduan Tartt

Closing out an already divine experience, Meagan Good graced the stage alongside Peppers to talk about her “new season of self discovery, peace of mind, pursuing joy recklessly… and alignment.” When asked how she deals with rejection Good shared that she had to learn at a young age that most of the rejection she’d experience was not personal and that she would receive many no’s but that one yes is the one that was “divinely meant” for her. She continued the narrative by acknowledging that what’s helped her is, “having that peace of mind that, you know, there will be alignment and the right things will come to me and the right seasons; and then celebrating my sisters when things come to them, even if it’s something that I wanted. Just celebrating them because it was theirs, not mine” and that “rejection is God’s protection.” As it pertains to self discovery and the pursuit of joy, Good reminds the audience that we are all unique and that, “there’s nobody in the world that is like you and the world needs what you can give that nobody else can give the way that you can give it.” She also revealed that a few of her keys to finding herself, her confidence and alignment are choosing to “work towards the reality of that identity that already is every single day”, having a relationship with God and practicing meditation. Good states, “…for me, it is reading my word. Reminding myself who God says I am, not who I think I am because I feel unworthy in the moment or because of whatever I may feel, whatever is going on in life, but who God says I am, period. That’s all that matters… and then living my day with just loving on myself and choosing myself at times and then choosing others when I feel spirit-led or if I’m like this is the season, this is the move.”

Meagan Good will reprise her role as Camille for the second season of Amazon Original, Harlem. The first season was released on December 3rd, 2021 and can be viewed on Amazon Prime Video.
