“Scheme Queens” Brings an Exciting Black Girl Magic Jewelry Heist Thriller to the Big Screen w/ Exclusive Atlanta Red Carpet Premiere
Greenlit ATL and Nina Holiday Productions had Atlanta celebrities and influencers showing up and showing out at the sold out Atlanta premiere of “Scheme Queens” at the newly renovated Regal Cinema Atlantic Station.
“Scheme Queens” is a thriller comedy heist film that’s being described as an urban mix between “Set it Off” and “Ocean’s 11” written and directed by Cas Sigers Beedles(Nina Holiday Productions, NAACP Image Award Recipient ). The star-studded “Black Girl Magic” cast includes Lauryn (B.Simone – Comedian, MTV’s Wild ‘N Out, Finding Happy on Bounce TV ), Sam (Brii Renee -Host Of Black Girl Stuff on Revolt TV, Radio Personality at Streetz 94.5 ), Zoe (Jacky Oh – MTV’s Wild ‘N Out) and Audra (Ernestine Johnson Morrison – Queen Sugar, Greenlit ATL), four girlfriends, who find themselves down on their luck and decide to rob Trip (Jason Louder – Black Lightning on The CW), a ruthless Rastafarian jewel thief, by conning his second in command, Mark (Andreas Thomas). These women joined forces to concoct the perfect plan to get to the bag!
The evening began with a star-studded red carpet managed by The Resource Guild and hosted by Christina “Ms. Basketball” Granville (TV Entertainment Correspondent), capturing the Who’s Who of Atlanta and other star-studded celebrities, influencers and more. There were special guest appearances from Tori Brixx (Celebrity DJ & Co-host of Black Girl Stuff on Revolt TV), Mike Anthony (Kountry Wayne’s World, Raising Dion on Netflix), Dr. Heavenly Kimes (Married to Medicine on Bravo), Javier Vazquez Jr. (Ozark on Netflix, The Resident on FOX), Tirrell Whitley (CEO of Liquid Soul Media),and many more. The exclusive red carpet movie premiere was followed by a special Q&A hosted by David Shands (Social Proof Podcast) & the lovely Terri Vaughn (Nina Holiday Productions, NAACP Image Award Winning Actress). All attendees received an alluring “Scheme Queens” diamond tipped pen. Ultimately, the evening was a true testament to putting your money where your mouth is, “Create Don’t Wait” as Ernestine Johnson Morrison can be frequently heard saying to fellow filmmakers and creatives at the top film and television networking event in Atlanta, Greenlit ATL.
