Stockbridge To Host 4th of JulyExtravaganza At The Stockbridge Amphitheater On July 4th

Stockbridge, Georgia– July 3, 2024- The City of Stockbridge will present an unforgettable city-wide event on this Thursday to celebrate the 4th of July at the Stockbridge Amphitheater located at 4650 North Henry Boulevard in Stockbridge, Georgia. The City of Stockbridge’s 4th of July Extravaganza is expected to draw thousands of community members. The free concert is open to everyone, while space is available. This year’s celebration will feature top musical R&B headliner Bobby Valentino. Legendary rapper Kool Moe Dee, sensational vocalist Algebra Blessett, and the popular Michael Jackson Live Tribute will all perform for the occasion. Fireworks will close out the highly anticipated celebration. 

Gates open at 5 pm for Thursday’s event. The first musical act will kick off the show promptly at 7 pm. The public event will feature an array of popular food trucks and regional vendors. Seats are available on a first come, first served capacity for the Stockbridge Amphitheater.  All seating inside of the venue will be provided for by the City of Stockbridge Government so no outside chairs are allowed to be brought in by attendees. Attendees wanting to listen to the concert outside of the venue are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and sit along the greenery of the Stockbridge Amphitheater. The 3,200-seat amphitheater is a premier state of the art concert venue that was the innovative vision of the Stockbridge Mayor and Council. The new facility has already drawn various, major musical acts since its grand opening in 2021.

Outside beverage and food are allowed by guests for Thursday’s event. Small soft and hard coolers are allowed. Guests are prohibited from bringing glass bottles inside of the facility. 

The City of Stockbridge will offer free parking for concertgoers, while space is available. In addition to the free parking, attendees are encouraged to safely utilize ride share options for the event. Firearms and other weapons are disallowed. The Stockbridge Amphitheater is a smoke-free facility at all times. 

Stockbridge celebrated 100 years of cityhood in 2020. The City of Stockbridge continues to strive to be the most progressive business and family-oriented community in Metropolitan Atlanta with a strong focus on enhanced quality of life initiatives which promote a sustainable “live, work, play” environment. Born in Philadelphia, the fifth of seven children, Dorn stayed focused throughout his youth, eventually obtaining his degree in Criminal Justice. Working with MSNBC, Jet Magazine, and major publications in Philadelphia and around the country, Dorn has had the honor of capturing the images of hundreds of notable celebrities and politicians including President Barack Obama, George Bush Jr, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Maya Angelou, Jesse Jackson, Rihanna, Snoop Dog, Will Smith, and Tyler Perry. Photography has sent Dorn around the globe, inspiring his passion for civil activism. In 1995, Dorn assembled and led a group of forty-two men to the Million Man March. Together, they spent five days walking from Philadelphia to Washington DC. In his travels, Dorn observed a common theme amongst the youth of the world. Many of the children he encountered seemed lost. Understanding that opportunities for at-risk youth are minimal, Dorn was inspired to make a difference. Established by Dorn in 2011, InDaHouseMedia was built on the idea that there is room in the house for everyone. With InDaHouseMedia, Dorn’s mission is to provide the future generation with positive direction through sports, music, and photography.
