Señoj: Brings the HEAT with New Single “OK”

Señoj, the multi-talented singer, songwriter, producer, and actress, is back with her empowering new single “OK,” now available on all digital streaming platforms.

In this exclusive interview, she opens up about the inspiration behind the track, her evolving career, and what fans can expect next.

Q: Señoj, congratulations on the release of “OK”! Can you tell us what inspired the track?

Señoj: “Thank you! ‘OK’ is my new favorite bop. It’s a reminder to myself of how bad I am in such a good way. ‘Pretty and I got good energy’ is a hell of a combination, and I elaborate on that in this song. It’s all about empowering yourself and taking control of your confidence. It’s that song you play when you wake up, to remind yourself not to let anyone mess with you. I wrote this for myself, but I know it’ll resonate with everyone who’s been through the journey of owning their power and embracing who they are.”

Q: We love the bold energy behind the song! Can you share a little bit about the production and who worked on the track with you?

Señoj: “The track was produced by me and the former production team Viigos, with Paul ‘Saint Paul’ Bennett, who produced two tracks on Chris Brown’s album11:11 (Deluxe), that won a 2025 Grammy for Best R&B Album, helped to bring it to life. We also had Barry Rashawn mix it, and his credits are impressive—he’s worked with artists like Drake, J. Cole, and Nicki Minaj. The combination of the energy I brought and the talent of everyone involved really brought ‘OK’ to the next level.”

Q: You’ve mentioned that “OK” is part of your upcoming EP. What can fans expect from the EP?

Señoj: “Yes! ‘OK’ is just the beginning. The EP is going to explore a lot of different sounds, but still keep that confidence and empowerment at the forefront. I want people to listen to it and feel like they can take on the world. There’s a little bit of everything on this EP—vibrant beats, deep lyrics, and some collaborations that I’m excited for everyone to hear.”

Q: You’ve been gaining recognition with tracks like “Running” on SoundCloud. How does it feel to have your sound appreciated by so many people?

Señoj: “It’s incredible! SoundCloud called me a ‘new pop diva,’ and hearing that was such an honor. The feedback has been really affirming, especially when they compared my style to artists like Ariana Grande and NAO, who I really admire. I think I’m creating a sound that feels fresh but still authentic to who I am, so it’s amazing to see it connect with people.”

Q: Aside from music, you’ve recently made your acting debut in Pressure. What was that experience like, and how has it impacted your creative journey?

Señoj: “Acting has been such a rewarding experience for me. In Pressure, I portray Rachel, a character navigating intense life decisions, and bringing her story to life was an emotional journey. The film has already received incredible feedback and was even named ‘Fan Favorite’ at a festival, which was truly humbling. Acting has opened up a whole new creative avenue for me, deepening my appreciation for storytelling in ways I never expected. I’m excited for everyone to see Pressure when it officially releases soon.”

Q: You’re not just a musician and actress; you’re also an entrepreneur. Can you tell us about your vegan dessert company, The Naked Bar?

Señoj: “Yes! The Naked Bar is something I’m super proud of. It’s a vegan dessert company based in Atlanta, and we focus on providing indulgent yet healthy treats. As an entrepreneur, it’s been really fulfilling to create something that combines my love for food with my desire to promote a healthy lifestyle. Plus, it’s just so fun to come up with new flavors and see people enjoy them.”

Q: You’ve also received the prestigious Ella Fitzgerald Songwriters Scholarship. How has that helped shape your songwriting career?

Señoj: “Winning that scholarship at the Grammy Songwriter’s Camp was a huge honor. It gave me the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry, and it really helped me hone my skills as a songwriter. That experience taught me a lot about collaboration and refining my craft, and it’s something I carry with me into every project I work on.”

Q: What’s next for Señoj? What can fans look forward to in the near future?

Señoj: “I have so many exciting things in the works. Aside from the EP, I’ve been working on new music and planning some live performances. I’m also continuing to explore acting and expanding my creative horizons. But above all, I want my fans to feel inspired and empowered when they listen to my music. I’m really just getting started, and 2025 is going to be a big year.”
