A Night of Music, Awareness & Impact!
Elijah Rock WOWs with Sold-Out Show and Electrifying 9-Piece Jazz Ensemble
The Elijah Rock Foundation Inc. proudly presented Memories Unleashed at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, delivering a night of breathtaking jazz and powerful awareness on Alzheimer’s and dementia.
This sold-out performance, attended by nearly 400 guests, left audiences mesmerized by the vocal mastery of Elijah Rock while shedding light on the vital importance of brain health through music and discussion.
The free event paid homage to jazz greats such as Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and Nat “King” Cole while honoring the legacy of Tony Bennett and his courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
Inspired by his personal connection to Alzheimer’s, Elijah Rock crafted a show that seamlessly blended world-class jazz performances with insightful discussions on brain health.
Expert panelists in ADRD research, memory care, and music therapy provided valuable insights, reinforcing music’s role in cognitive wellness.
The true highlight of the evening was Elijah Rock’s electrifying performance, showcasing his dynamic stage presence, exceptional vocal artistry, and emotional depth.
The 9-piece jazz ensemble, composed of talented students from the Conservatory, delivered masterful instrumentation that heightened the audience’s musical journey.
“The talent and passion these young musicians brought to the stage were absolutely incredible,” said Elijah Rock. “Their artistry and dedication infused the music with an energy that made the night truly unforgettable. I’m honored to have shared this moment with them.”
During the performance, Elijah Rock featured Antonia Bennett, the daughter of Tony Bennett, for a special duet of On A Clear Day, which is part of his upcoming album, Memories Unleashed – Impulse 1.
The event was a testament to the power of music to educate, inspire, and heal. More than 40% of attendees came from underrepresented communities, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to inclusivity.
Notably, nearly 10% of attendees expressed interest in learning more about clinical trial participation, demonstrating how music can serve as a catalyst for meaningful conversations about brain health.
Survey responses underscored the event’s success, with 80% of attendees reporting that they felt more comfortable engaging with Alzheimer’s research initiatives after the performance.
Produced by Rayford Griffin with arrangements by Todd Hunter, Memories Unleashed – Impulse 1, Elijah Rock’s fourth studio album, bridges the Great American Songbook’s rich history with modern advocacy.
The title reflects both the emotional and neurological impact of music—reviving memories and fostering connections, especially for those affected by cognitive decline.
The highly anticipated album, set for release on May 2, 2025, will support The Elijah Rock Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing dementia research and resources. A portion of the proceeds will directly benefit this cause.
