The Wait Is Finally Over for Fans Worldwide as Melvin Riley, the Legendary Voice Behind READY FOR THE WORLD, Returns with New R&B and Pop Double Album No AI – The Album Out June 9, 2026

Legendary singer, songwriter, producer, and music pioneer Melvin Riley, the mastermind and lead vocalist behind history-making R&B and Pop group Ready for the World, is set to release his long-awaited new project, No AI – The Double Album, arriving June 9, 2026.

The album marks a powerful return from one of R&B and Pop music’s most influential voices and creative architects of timeless love songs and authentic musicianship.

Born in Clarksdale, the birthplace of the blues, and raised in Flint, Melvin Riley’s musical foundation was shaped by deep cultural roots and early exposure to blues legends.

He often credits his songwriting gift to his upbringing and childhood summer trips riding in the back of his father’s Cadillac between Michigan and Mississippi, where he absorbed the sound, soul, and storytelling of blues greats.

As co-founder, lead vocalist, and primary songwriter of Ready for the World, Riley crafted some of the most enduring R&B and Pop classics in music history, including Oh Sheila, Love You Down, Tonight, Gently, Deep Inside Your Love, My Girly, Ceramic Girl, and many more.

His signature blend of sensual melodies, infectious hooks, and emotional storytelling helped define a generation of R&B and Pop music and continues to influence the genre today.

His songwriting and production legacy has impacted on a wide range of artists, including Usher, Chris Brown, Keith Sweat, Jodeci, Mint Condition, Alicia Keys, Twista, and Trey Songz, among many others.

Riley is also known for his exceptional musicianship, having played all instruments and performed all vocals on several Ready for the World recordings.

His artistry helped propel the group to international success and cemented his place as one of the most innovative R&B and Pop creators of his era.

With No AI – The Album, Melvin Riley delivers a bold artistic statement centered on authenticity, soul, and the preservation of real music in a rapidly evolving digital age.

The project serves as a reminder of the emotional depth and human connection that only true musicianship can deliver.

“This album is about bringing the heart back to music,” says Melvin Riley. “Every note, every lyric, every melody comes from a real place. It was time for a full album that truly reflects passion, creativity, and the human spirit. No AI – The Album is about real love, real truth, and real soul.”

Throughout his career, Riley has received numerous honors and accolades, including recognition from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, where his iconic “Oh Sheila” jacket is preserved in its memorabilia collection. He also received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Southern Soul Academy in Atlanta, along with multiple industry honors throughout his celebrated career.

Signed to MCA Records at just 19 years old, Riley quickly rose to international prominence, touring with legends such as Luther Vandross and performing for sold-out audiences around the world.

Today, Melvin Riley continues to create, perform, and inspire, maintaining his unmistakable sound while shaping the next chapter of his legacy. No AI – The Album stands as both a celebration of his past impact and a powerful statement about the future of real R&B and Pop music.

The album will be available on all digital streaming platforms beginning June 9, 2026.
