WNBA Atlanta Dream Scores Win over Connecticut Sun 82-77

Let’s chat it up about the WNBA game that took place at the illustrious McCamish Pavilion last night (06/06/18)

The “Connecticut Sun” did not rise or shine high enough for the Atlanta Dream because the “Atlanta” lit the court up and crushed dreams for their opponent.

The Atlanta Dream definitely showed up and showed out for their fans ! No. 15 (Tiffany Hayes) led the team scoring a total of 22 points last night. Additionally, she finished the game with 7 rebounds and 4 assist.
Right behind Tiffany Hayes with a powerful helping hand was No. 12 (Damiris Dantas) – scoring 15 points , with a total of 5 rebounds and 2 assist. What a major contribution !

I am a major “Atlanta Dream” fan. However, I tend to give credit where it is due. Although their best was simply not good enough last night, Connecticut Sun’s, – No. 25 (Alyssa Thomas) and No. 20 (Alex Bentley) gave everything they had as they tried to lead the team to victory.

However, the intriguing Atlanta Dream played as a team and scored a total of 82 points. While, the Connecticut Sun came up short with a total of 77 points. Atlanta Dream‘ s No. 1 (Elizabeth Williams) scored 4 points and had a total of 2 rebounds. The phenomenal (Angel McCoughtry), No. 35 – scored 11 points, had 4 assist, and 3 rebounds. All while putting in major work on the court, she managed to take a slight break and eat some popcorn side-court right after a foul was called on another player- yet, she still came through for the team. No. 51 (Jessica Breland) contributed to the team’s score last night with 8 points, 2 assist, and 9 rebounds.

Let’s not forget about the magnificent No. 21 (Renee Montgomery) – she is truly unstoppable. She handled the ball appropriately, played aggressively, and as a team player. Her effort was the reason for her 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assist. No. 7 (Brittney Sykes) scored a total of 6 points, had 2 assist and 2 rebounds. Lastly, No. 23 (Layshia Clarendon) contributed to the team’s score and success last night with 4 points, 2 assist, and 4 rebounds.
Watching the game and witnessing a successful win for the Atlanta Dream last night was an amazing site! I am already ready for the next game!

Each player – meaning, the entire team contributed to the success of the team. There is no “I” in team- and, I see why this phase is so significant today. Although every player was not on the court – scoring, getting rebounds and assist; the win was a result of the whole team. Those who score, get rebounds, get assist, and cheer the team on while the game goes on – are all reasons for a team’s win. And each reason holds the same amount of weight. The Atlanta Dream painted that picture for me while defeating the Connecticut Sun.

When it comes to the WNBA – The Atlanta Dream is not the team to dream big with, because they are ready and prepared to crush those dreams and get their WIN.
