THE PINK AWARDS MAKES A STAR-STUDDED RETURN TO ATLANTA ON SAT., FEB. 25, 2023
Atlanta Entrepreneur and Philanthropist April Love is celebrating her 12th year of breast cancer survivorship by educating communities of color about the importance of self-care and early detection.

This is Atlanta’s only annual philanthropic event where Black excellence and breast cancer awareness unite at the center stage. Founder and Executive Producer April Lovewas under the age of 40 when she was diagnosed with estrogen receptor-positive, stage III ductal carcinoma breast cancer onChristmas Eve in 2009. The Pink Awards raises funds for breast cancer warriors and survivors who cannot pay their monthly household and medical bills due to their inability to remain employed while undergoing chemotherapy. The event also honors global business and community trailblazers who are using their talents and resources to uplift the lives of others. “I started hosting pink events while I was still in treatment to educate everyone about early detection and effective cancer prevention practices,” states April. “I also want to encourage cancer warriors to keep their faith while fighting the greatest battle of their lives.
