The Entrepreneurial Powerhouse, Dynamic Philanthropist, and Author is ready to pivot her platform into purpose-filled projects for creatives and spiritually-attune entrepreneurs.

April Love’s journey is one of hustle, dynamic ambition, and intuitive pivoting. With an impeccable history and genuine love for seeing budding careers to fruition, she is turning inward on her own passion-filled purpose. The CEO of Ask April Love, Vanguard Creative Group, Founder and Director of the Pink Awards, and Host of the ‘Just Breathe With April Love’ Podcast is taking her extensive career as an entertainment industry vet to higher heights. Her past experience also includes acting as Manager for heavy-hitters PJ Morton and award-winning Creative Photographer and Director Derek Blanks. Currently, she manages the careers of Bermudian artist Kaelyn Kastle and Atlantic Records recording artist Raiche.  April has recently announced her departure from Public Relations and is officially emerging into her new endeavors. Her new goal? It is to intentionally place herself in front of the media forefront as an advocate for educating and empowering creative minds while continuing to be a force of change and advancement in the entertainment industry.

I have been running from this season in my life for years. To whom much is given, much is required. God has kept me for such a time as this and baby, it’s TIME.” – April Love

April Love grew up inhabiting an entrepreneurial mindset from an early age, selling artwork, candy, and any products that would bring revenue. She matriculated through college, attending the esteemed Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), and Georgia State University. She began a career in corporate America working with elite companies such as Sony Music and General Mills. In December 2009, her life came to a screeching halt after she was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. A now 12-year survivor, April continues to honor her survivorship through the annual Pink Awards, which she created while in breast cancer treatment.

Professionally, she secured a coveted seat at the tables of many of the music industry’s elite change agents, working with such elite companies as Warner Brothers, Sony Music, Def Jam Music, Universal Music Group, and Empire Records. While on a flight to Los Angeles, April had an epiphany: she was ready to shift her focus and take a much needed break from the music industry. Following the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, April created her podcast, ‘Just Breathe with April Love’ in 2022. “I knew I had to do something to amplify love and the need for a shift in our personal lives,” April says. The low-vibrational energy of the pandemic’s residuals inspired April again in October 2022, where she hosted the inaugural event, The Gathering 824: A Soul Revival. Boasting special guest speakers such as Chrisette Michelle, Chris Cooper, Pastors Gerald and Tammi Haddon, Rudy Currence and more, the event includes a Black Wall Street Marketplace, catered brunch and live performances. The Gathering 824: Soul Revival serves to shift Atlanta’s faith culture, with this year’s event scheduled for Fall 2023.

2023 is presenting itself as the catalyst to what will indeed be a successful shift for April. She is in pre-production stage for another signature 2023 event, The Gathering 824: A Soul Revival, and is on board to release her book, Bloom, Your Guide to an Extraordinary Life. April is the epitome of grace, determination, and genuine passion for those who encounter her presence. With a career spanning over two decades, April is continuing to solidify and take up space in the industry.

Celebrity photographer and disabled Vietnam veteran Jerome Dorn embodies the very definition of resilience. Born in Philadelphia, the fifth of seven children, Dorn stayed focused throughout his youth, eventually obtaining his degree in Criminal Justice. Dorn has worked with the Philadelphia Police Department, Department of Justice, World Wide Detective Agency, and several other high profile security groups. Throughout his successful career, Dorn wrestled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, an aftereffect of his military service. Battling the pain and debilitating effect of PTSD, Dorn found comfort behind the camera. Photography proved to be not only therapeutic, but life changing as well. Dorn picked up his first camera in 1970 while serving in Vietnam and knew instantly that behind the lens was where he belonged. His shooting style and photographs were special, generating a buzz in the industry. In 1985, he began his career in photojournalism, working in a variety of genres. Dorn’s credentials include fashion, lifestyle photography, photojournalism, and celebrity/red carpet coverage. Working with MSNBC, Jet Magazine, and major publications in Philadelphia and around the country, Dorn has had the honor of capturing the images of hundreds of notable celebrities and politicians including President Barack Obama, George Bush Jr, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Maya Angelou, Jesse Jackson, Rihanna, Snoop Dog, Will Smith, and Tyler Perry. Photography has sent Dorn around the globe, inspiring his passion for civil activism. In 1995, Dorn assembled and led a group of forty-two men to the Million Man March. Together, they spent five days walking from Philadelphia to Washington DC. In his travels, Dorn observed a common theme amongst the youth of the world. Many of the children he encountered seemed lost. Understanding that opportunities for at-risk youth are minimal, Dorn was inspired to make a difference. Established by Dorn in 2011, InDaHouseMedia was built on the idea that there is room in the house for everyone. With InDaHouseMedia, Dorn’s mission is to provide the future generation with positive direction through sports, music, and photography.
