We’re launching this new game show idea with a nonprofit community impact day filled with fun and competitive games/drills such as:

  • 40 Yard Dash
  • Field Goals
  • Red Zone-Flag Football
  • Football Trivia (10 questions per team)

Break Down Of Games:

For the 40 Yard Dash –  We will have two heats, using 2 of the fastest players on each non profit team. We will then take the top 3 males and the top 3 females and the fastest runner gets 40 points, 2nd fastest 30 points and 3rd fastest 20 points.

For the Field Goal portion-  Each player will have the opportunity to kick a field goal. Any player who kicks a 20-yard field goal will earn 10 points; 25-yard field goal will earn 15 points and 30-yard field goal will earn 20 points.

For the Red Zone-Flag football – It will be a 15 minute, 7 on 7, timed game. The game will consist of 4 downs and on 4th down if the team doesn’t get a touchdown or a 1st down, they have to turnover the ball to the other team on the 30-yard line. Each touchdown is worth 20 points. Since we are only using a portion of the football field,  2 teams will be playing on each side of the field. In case of a tied game, there will be 5 mins OT (overtime) of sudden death.

For the Football Trivia – The trivia questions will consist of football and Atlanta culture questions. Each question is worth 10 points and if a team skips, which allows the other team to answer and if the other team answers and gets it right, they will win 20 points.

All team participants will wear organization T-shirts/apparel and competition will be officiated by the Georgia Officials Athletics Associations who will be making sure everyone is safe and having fun! In The Trenches Community Impact Game Day was created for the entire family to enjoy a day in the park with face painting for the kids, free snow cones, delicious food trucks to try, a vendor village to shop and spiked beverages for the adults throughout the park. Also, in an effort to bring more camaraderie in our community, we will be having a field goal and football throwing contest for our kids and other aspiring players to participate in a chance at winning a prize!
