Tanya Nolan Stops By Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell to Share Inspiration Behind Debut Gospel Single “Blessings”

Tanya Nolan, the celebrated singer-songwriter known for her R&B and soul music, is stepping into a new chapter of her career, and this time, it’s personal. 

The Texas native recently appeared on Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell to share the inspiration behind her debut gospel single, “Blessings.”

During the heartfelt interview, Tanya opened up about her deep-rooted faith, her love for gospel music, and the purpose behind this bold new musical direction. “Blessings” isn’t just a song—it’s a testimony.

Tanya described the track as her “love letter to God,” reflecting the many moments in her life when God carried her through dark times. “I wanted to create a song that spreads God’s love, favor, and peace,” Tanya shared. “That’s the spirit I poured into this song.”

Quoting Numbers 6:24–26, a scripture that grounds her daily walk, Tanya emphasized the spiritual significance behind “Blessings,” a song that highlights her spiritual journey and the power of faith. Though gospel is a new genre for Tanya, it feels like a natural progression, given her lifelong love for the genre and the gospel influences that have always surrounded her.

“I’ve been in R&B for a good while, still in it,” Tanya explained during the interview, “but I was ready to go ahead and share my truth when it comes to gospel.” Known for her previous chart-topping singles like “Good Woman” and “No Pressure,” Tanya is no stranger to success, with her music already resonating with fans on the adult R&B Billboard charts. 

However, her work extends beyond music—Tanya is also a successful entrepreneur, owning the largest daycare center in Texas, All Better Child Care Center, and running her own label, Art Sessions.

Tanya also shared how gospel music icons such as Erica Campbell, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Marvin Sapp, and Jonathan McReynoldshave shaped her spiritually and musically. 

She even revealed how Mary Mary’s anthem “Go Get It” has been a driving force in her life. “That message pushed me to go after what God had for me,” she said. “And that same spirit shows up in ‘Blessings.’”

Now that “Blessings” is out for the world to hear, Tanya’s biggest wish is that the song does more than climb the charts—it touches the hearts of listeners. “I want people to feel uplifted, encouraged, and reminded of God’s presence in their lives,” she said.
