In a breathtaking convergence of passion, purpose, and professionalism, over 200 dynamic women came together at the 11th Annual Women on the MOVE Summit™ 2024. Hosted in the heart of Atlanta, the event was a powerful testament to what happens when driven women unite to collaborate, connect, and create. The energy in the room was undeniable, sparking new ideas and opportunities, while forging deep, lasting connections.

Women from all sectors, from business leaders to entrepreneurs, gathered with a shared vision—to elevate their careers and businesses, empower one another, and shape a future where women continue to thrive. Every conversation went beyond surface-level networking; it was about building lasting relationships and creating paths for growth and success. This wasn’t just a summit—it was an incubator of ideas and innovation, driven by the sheer power of women supporting women.

Highlights from Women on the MOVE Summit 2024:

The summit welcomed a remarkable lineup of panelists and speakers, headlined by a discussion on Power & Influence. A standout moment was the Conversation with Women on the TOP, where industry leaders such as Becky A. Davis, Dr. Kim McNair, Taylor Jensen, and Tammie Young-Ennaemba shared their wisdom and insights. Each panelist brought their own unique perspective on leadership, collaboration, and the future of women in business.

Empowering the Next Generation:

The summit was also proud to host Mount Zion High School Seniors, who attended under the guidance of Sgt. Sandra Davis. These future leaders witnessed firsthand the power of collaboration and mentorship, learning from trailblazing women who have paved the way for their success.

Known for his work in branded content and strategy, Norsworthy captivated the audience with “The Blackboard Experience,” a deep dive into creativity, innovation, and the importance of having a strategic approach to branding.

Celebrating Innovation:

Another exciting moment from the summit was the Innovator’s PITCH Contest, where emerging entrepreneurs showcased their groundbreaking ideas. Katesha Anderson took home the top prize, impressing the judges with her creativity, business acumen, and vision for the future. The contest highlighted the entrepreneurial spirit that runs deep within the Women on the MOVE community, with every contestant representing the strength and resilience of women innovators.

Celebrity photographer and disabled Vietnam veteran Jerome Dorn embodies the very definition of resilience. Born in Philadelphia, the fifth of seven children, Dorn stayed focused throughout his youth, eventually obtaining his degree in Criminal Justice. Dorn has worked with the Philadelphia Police Department, Department of Justice, World Wide Detective Agency, and several other high profile security groups. Throughout his successful career, Dorn wrestled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, an aftereffect of his military service. Battling the pain and debilitating effect of PTSD, Dorn found comfort behind the camera. Photography proved to be not only therapeutic, but life changing as well. Dorn picked up his first camera in 1970 while serving in Vietnam and knew instantly that behind the lens was where he belonged. His shooting style and photographs were special, generating a buzz in the industry. In 1985, he began his career in photojournalism, working in a variety of genres. Dorn’s credentials include fashion, lifestyle photography, photojournalism, and celebrity/red carpet coverage. Working with MSNBC, Jet Magazine, and major publications in Philadelphia and around the country, Dorn has had the honor of capturing the images of hundreds of notable celebrities and politicians including President Barack Obama, George Bush Jr, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Maya Angelou, Jesse Jackson, Rihanna, Snoop Dog, Will Smith, and Tyler Perry. Photography has sent Dorn around the globe, inspiring his passion for civil activism. In 1995, Dorn assembled and led a group of forty-two men to the Million Man March. Together, they spent five days walking from Philadelphia to Washington DC. In his travels, Dorn observed a common theme amongst the youth of the world. Many of the children he encountered seemed lost. Understanding that opportunities for at-risk youth are minimal, Dorn was inspired to make a difference. Established by Dorn in 2011, InDaHouseMedia was built on the idea that there is room in the house for everyone. With InDaHouseMedia, Dorn’s mission is to provide the future generation with positive direction through sports, music, and photography.
