It is with immense pride and honor that Leaders Esteem Christian Bible University (LECBU) announces the nominations of a truly exceptional individuals to receive an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy in Humanitarism from the class of 2023.

This prestigious accolade is reserved for individuals who exemplify unwavering integrity, outstanding accomplishments, and exceptional contributions to various fields, including academia, business, entrepreneurialism, government, the arts, humanitarian efforts, the military, or public service. The recipients of this esteemed award has been selected not only for their extraordinary achievements but also for their ability to inspire others.

They will serve as a shining example to LECBU’s students, alumni, and society at large, bringing honor to our esteemed institution. This momentous occasion will be marked by a grand celebration, beginning with The Prestige All White Party Showcase on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at The Roof, 1531 Hwy 6#300, Sugar Land, Texas 77478.

This red-carpet event will feature musical recording artists, DJs, and special guests, creating an atmosphere of excitement and festivity. The pinnacle of this celebration will be the Commencement Ceremony held on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at the prestigious Sans Souci Ballroom, located at 26500 State Hwy 249, Tomball, TX 77375.

The ceremony will commence with a red carpet social at 5 pm, where the distinguished awardees will be welcomed with grace and style. The evening will feature a three-course meal, including salad, an entree, and a dessert, making it a formal event of grandeur and elegance. What sets this event apart is not just the recognition itself, but the caliber of the individuals being honored.

The recipient’s outstanding contributions have not only left an indelible mark on their respective field but have also made a profound impact on society at large. Furthermore, this celebration will be graced by an additional honor, as the recipient will also receive from President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, a testament to their exceptional dedication and service to the community and the nation. Celebrity photographer and disabled Vietnam veteran Jerome Dorn embodies the very definition of resilience. Born in Philadelphia, the fifth of seven children, Dorn stayed focused throughout his youth, eventually obtaining his degree in Criminal Justice. Dorn has worked with the Philadelphia Police Department, Department of Justice, World Wide Detective Agency, and several other high profile security groups. Throughout his successful career, Dorn wrestled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, an aftereffect of his military service. Battling the pain and debilitating effect of PTSD, Dorn found comfort behind the camera. Photography proved to be not only therapeutic, but life changing as well. Dorn picked up his first camera in 1970 while serving in Vietnam and knew instantly that behind the lens was where he belonged. His shooting style and photographs were special, generating a buzz in the industry. In 1985, he began his career in photojournalism, working in a variety of genres. Dorn’s credentials include fashion, lifestyle photography, photojournalism, and celebrity/red carpet coverage. Working with MSNBC, Jet Magazine, and major publications in Philadelphia and around the country, Dorn has had the honor of capturing the images of hundreds of notable celebrities and politicians including President Barack Obama, George Bush Jr, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Maya Angelou, Jesse Jackson, Rihanna, Snoop Dog, Will Smith, and Tyler Perry. Photography has sent Dorn around the globe, inspiring his passion for civil activism. In 1995, Dorn assembled and led a group of forty-two men to the Million Man March. Together, they spent five days walking from Philadelphia to Washington DC. In his travels, Dorn observed a common theme amongst the youth of the world. Many of the children he encountered seemed lost. Understanding that opportunities for at-risk youth are minimal, Dorn was inspired to make a difference. Established by Dorn in 2011, InDaHouseMedia was built on the idea that there is room in the house for everyone. With InDaHouseMedia, Dorn’s mission is to provide the future generation with positive direction through sports, music, and photography.
