Creating Opportunity With Every Ticket.

Building an Ecosystem Where Everyone Thrives.

There is something special about gathering around great food. It brings people together, creates conversations, strengthens communities, and supports the hardworking entrepreneurs who feed our neighborhoods every day.

That spirit is at the heart of the inaugural Fish & Friends Fest, a one-of-a-kind celebration of food, music, family, and community taking place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Backstage Atlanta in College Park, Georgia.

More than just a festival, Fish & Friends Fest is a community-driven experience designed to showcase culinary excellence, support local businesses, and create opportunities for restaurants, food trucks, chefs, entertainers, and entrepreneurs to connect with thousands of guests in a festive and welcoming environment.

Live Music & Entertainment

Fish & Friends Fest brings the community together through an exciting lineup of live music performances featuring local, regional, and nationally recognized artists.

From soulful R&B and blues to crowd-pleasing favorites, festival-goers will enjoy an energetic atmosphere filled with great music, dancing, and unforgettable performances throughout the day.

Whether you’re enjoying a plate of fresh seafood, relaxing with family, or networking with community leaders, the soundtrack of Fish & Friends Fest will keep the celebration alive from start to finish.

Family, Fellowship & Community

At its heart, Fish & Friends Fest is about people.

Families, friends, neighbors, faith leaders, business owners, and community organizations will gather together to celebrate culture, fellowship, and the power of connection.

The festival provides a welcoming environment where multiple generations can enjoy quality time together while supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs.

It’s an opportunity to build relationships, strengthen community ties, and create memories that last long after the event ends.

The Ultimate Seafood Showdown

Who Has The Best Fried Seafood In Atlanta?

One of the festival’s most anticipated attractions is the Fish & Friends Seafood Competition, where some of the region’s most talented chefs, restaurants, and food truck operators will compete for culinary bragging rights and top honors.

For its inaugural year, Fish & Friends Fest will invite 10 restaurants, chefs, and food trucks to battle for the coveted title of:

“Best Fried Seafood Dish in Atlanta”

Participants will have complete creative freedom to present their signature seafood creation, provided that fried seafood remains the featured component of the dish.

Expect bold flavors, innovative recipes, unique presentations, and plenty of surprises as competitors showcase why they deserve to be crowned Atlanta’s seafood champion.

Celebrity Judges

A distinguished panel of celebrity judges, food enthusiasts, media personalities, and community influencers will evaluate each entry based on:

  • Flavor
  • Presentation
  • Creativity
  • Originality
  • Overall Experience

Only one competitor will earn the title and take home the bragging rights as Atlanta’s premier fried seafood destination.

Supporting Local Businesses

Fish & Friends Fest was created with a simple mission:

Support the hands that feed our communities.

Every ticket purchased helps create opportunities for local restaurants, food vendors, entertainers, and small business owners.

The festival serves as a platform where entrepreneurs can gain exposure, build relationships, attract new customers, and grow their businesses while contributing to the economic vitality of the community.

Celebrity photographer and disabled Vietnam veteran Jerome Dorn embodies the very definition of resilience. Born in Philadelphia, the fifth of seven children, Dorn stayed focused throughout his youth, eventually obtaining his degree in Criminal Justice. Dorn has worked with the Philadelphia Police Department, Department of Justice, World Wide Detective Agency, and several other high profile security groups. Throughout his successful career, Dorn wrestled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, an aftereffect of his military service. Battling the pain and debilitating effect of PTSD, Dorn found comfort behind the camera. Photography proved to be not only therapeutic, but life changing as well. Dorn picked up his first camera in 1970 while serving in Vietnam and knew instantly that behind the lens was where he belonged. His shooting style and photographs were special, generating a buzz in the industry. In 1985, he began his career in photojournalism, working in a variety of genres. Dorn’s credentials include fashion, lifestyle photography, photojournalism, and celebrity/red carpet coverage. Working with MSNBC, Jet Magazine, and major publications in Philadelphia and around the country, Dorn has had the honor of capturing the images of hundreds of notable celebrities and politicians including President Barack Obama, George Bush Jr, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Maya Angelou, Jesse Jackson, Rihanna, Snoop Dog, Will Smith, and Tyler Perry. Photography has sent Dorn around the globe, inspiring his passion for civil activism. In 1995, Dorn assembled and led a group of forty-two men to the Million Man March. Together, they spent five days walking from Philadelphia to Washington DC. In his travels, Dorn observed a common theme amongst the youth of the world. Many of the children he encountered seemed lost. Understanding that opportunities for at-risk youth are minimal, Dorn was inspired to make a difference. Established by Dorn in 2011, InDaHouseMedia was built on the idea that there is room in the house for everyone. With InDaHouseMedia, Dorn’s mission is to provide the future generation with positive direction through sports, music, and photography.
