Two-Time Grammy Award Winner Ann Nesby Returns With Powerful Gospel Anthem “AMEN” Arriving August 14, 2026

Legendary Voice of Sounds of Blackness Delivers a Message of Faith, Hope, and Perseverance Through New Inspirational Single

Legendary vocalist Ann Nesby continues her extraordinary musical journey with the release of her powerful new gospel single “AMEN,” arriving Friday, August 14, 2026, on all major digital streaming platforms.

A two-time Grammy Award winner and six-time Grammy Award-nominated solo artist, Ann Nesby has spent decades inspiring audiences around the world with her unmistakable voice and uplifting messages of faith, resilience, and hope.

With “AMEN,” Nesby delivers a timely reminder that even during life’s most difficult moments, faith can provide strength, encouragement, and a reason to keep moving forward.

Written and produced by Robert “RL” Huggar of NEXT and Brian “B-Flat” Cook, “AMEN” continues the creative partnership established during Nesby’s 2025 album ANNiversary. The song brings together powerful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and a timeless gospel message that reflects Nesby’s commitment to creating music that touches the soul.

“AMEN was inspired by the reality that everyone faces challenges in life,” shares Ann Nesby.

“There are moments when circumstances can make you feel like giving up, but that is exactly when you have to lean into your faith. This song is a reminder that God is always with us. No matter what you are facing, don’t quit, don’t lose hope, and never stop believing.”

Before becoming a celebrated solo artist, Nesby gained worldwide recognition as the lead vocalist of the Grammy Award-winning ensemble Sounds of Blackness.

Her powerful vocals helped define some of the group’s most memorable recordings, including “Optimistic,” “I Believe,” and “I’m Going All the Way.” During her time with the group, Sounds of Blackness earned two Grammy Awards and established Nesby as one of gospel music’s most influential voices.

Her remarkable career has continued to bridge gospel, soul, and R&B, earning her six solo Grammy Award nominations and collaborations with some of the industry’s most respected artists and producers, including Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Luther Vandross, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Sting, and Reverend Al Green.

Beyond music, Nesby has expanded her artistry through acting and storytelling, including her role as Aunt Sally in the film The Fighting Temptations, where she performed the gospel classic “I’m Getting Ready” and appeared alongside gospel legend Shirley Caesar.

With “AMEN,” Ann Nesby continues a legacy built on faith, authenticity, and the power of music to inspire change. The new single serves as both a declaration of belief and a message of encouragement for anyone navigating life’s challenges.

“Sometimes you just have to lift your voice and say, ‘Amen,’” says Nesby.

“AMEN” by Ann Nesby will be available August 14, 2026, on all major digital streaming platforms.
