KindnessLoveGlamour.com (KLG), a boutique beauty and lifestyle Heritage brand launched by sisters Adrian Anderson and Anita McClinton, has arrived with a mission rooted in heritage, beauty, style, and community impact.
KLG honors the legacy of Adrian’s mother, Juanita, and grandmother, affectionately known as Mama Jewell.
We sat down with Adrian Anderson, celebrated artist, entrepreneur, and former member of the Dove Award-winning, Grammy-nominated gospel group Trinitee 5:7, to discuss her new venture and her philosophy behind beauty and giving back.
Q: Congratulations on the launch of Kindness Love Glamour! What inspired you to create KLG?
Adrian Anderson: Thank you! KLG was inspired by my mother Juanita and my grandmother, Mama Jewell. They taught me that beauty starts from within and by using imagination with vision allows you to create the world around you. For them, beauty was not just about appearance but about how you treat others and positively impact your community. Kindness, Love, and Glamour are the pillars they lived by, and I wanted to create something that reflects that legacy and helps others bring beauty and kindness into their own lives. We are in the very early stages so we are intentionally going at a measured pace.
Q: Your career spans from behind the scenes of your years in beauty, then publicly with music / songwriting with T57, and currently lifestyle entrepreneurship. How did you transition into the world of beauty and style?
Anderson: Beauty, music, and poetry are mediums that allow divine inspired creativity to flow, through which I express my artistry.
I grew up drawing, painting, singing in the church choir, writing songs, and getting lost in my dreamy imagination would take me away for hours as a child and it still can as an adult when I allow it.
In the late ‘90s, I began as a makeup artist for brands like Estée Lauder and Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, then my career expanded to working for GospoCentric for their music videos, television specials, live concerts etc. which fortified my foundation in the industry and, surprisingly, led to my journey with Trinitee 5:7. This allowed me to express myself through music that ministered to the hearts all over the world.
With KLG, I get to blend my passions for beauty, artistry, and community into a lifestyle brand that speaks to how I was raised, what I believe in, and yes, music ( The Soundtrack of Kindness Love Glamour ) will eventually be included. I’m patient though and know the importance of pace…step by step is best.
Q: Tell us more about the Halo Tu’ Beauty collection and what it represents.
Anderson: Halo Tu’ Beauty is KLG’s flagship line and embodies my treasured memories of my mother and grandmother’s elegance and style, infused with my own style and artistic expression. Their timeless beauty captured by memories of my heart translated through my artistry inspires the collection, which begins with our Halo Tu’ Beauty lip glosses, which is our initial and current focus with more shades coming soon. More beauty products are coming in 2026.
It’s not just about makeup; it’s about embracing yourself with love, developing yourself, nurturing and celebrating our inner and outer beauty.
Q: How does KLG reflect your commitment to the community and giving back?
Anderson: Giving back is deeply rooted in KLG as it is a part of our family heritage. We had to to bless where we were first nurtured so we blessed Saint Emmanuel Baptist Church in Denton, Texas in honor of our mother and grandparents ( our heritage ). for the 2024 Holiday season we donated bean bag chairs, washable markers, crayons etc. to their Nursery department.
We also donated to Alexandria House, a transitional housing organization helping families out of homelessness. I’m also a board member there, so I see firsthand the impact of the work. Our goal is to support causes that uplift people and help create meaningful connections.
Also for the 2024 Holiday season KLG supplied new clothes for the Entrepreneurial Wardrobe Closet for graduates of a certified course provided by Alexandria House for those transitioning out of homelessness and wanting to learn how to build/run a business. After they receive their certification they need professional business clothes to present/pitch their company concept or actual business they started as well as job acquisition. We provided an all new business casual wardrobe inventory in a wide range of sizes. I am pleased to report this closet has been successfully utilized.
Q: Kindness, Love, and Glamour is such a unique name. How did you come up with it, and what does it mean to you?
Anderson: Kindness, Love, and Glamour are qualities that define the women in my family and have shaped my own life. I wanted a name that captures those values and emphasizes the importance of radiating kindness, showing love, and adding a touch of glamour to everything we do. KLG is about more than just products—it’s a way of life.
Our product names are inspired by my life with our signature red lip gloss named “Movie Starred ” for example. To me as a child my mother Juanita was my first Movie Star so this is named in honor of her.
Wear it on your lips and you’ve just been Movie Starred!
Then we have a lovely pink gloss ” Dreams Flower ” which is from a saying I have which is ” May your dreams flower as your life blossoms “
Q: What has been the response to KLG and Halo Tu’ Beauty so far?
Anderson: While slowly building the response has been excellent! For 2025 and 2024 Halo Tu’ Beauty lip glosses were selected to be in gift bags for the Amazon Prime MGM Studios Charley Pride Tribute Brunch, “I’m Just Me: A Charley Pride Celebration of Inclusion,” which is held during the Academy of Country Music Awards week in Frisco, Texas. We’re extremely appreciative of the interest and support!
Q: What advice would you give to artists and others that want to embark on this type of endeavor?
Anderson: God placed the vision for KLG/Halo Tu’ Beauty in my heart when I first entered the beauty industry and it just wouldn’t leave me even when dormant or challenged to bring it forth. It’s a “Faith Walk”. I remained determined to birth into reality.
It took many years to bring KLG / Halo Tu’ Beauty into manifestation.
Do your research, focus, access what you have to start with, be resourceful and be honest with yourself about who you have sincere supportive relationships with. I studied brands, nurtured sincere relationships and helped others along the way which matters and will bless you in the later years.
Respect the process, accept that you have to do the work, even if you have success in other areas you must also do the work in this area.
Leverage what you learned and apply it to your process. Appreciate yet do not require external validation because you have to self motivate each day. You are going to be investing in you which is the only way it will happen. If you need a guarantee every step of the way this is not for you.
Manage your time well, have strategy sessions even if it’s just with yourself until you have a business partner or partners. Associate with other business owners and help when you can which allows for a genuine report to begin. Trust is earned not given so be trustworthy. Set your ego aside so you do not feel the need to impress because you need to strengthen the roots before you bear the fruit.
God makes provision for the “Vision” in ways you can not expect.
Guard your ” Vision ” and have NDA agreements signed as needed.
Google and iPhone are great tools for research and photo shoot images.
That said it’s still work setting up and capturing the images that your brand requires so proper planning is crucial.
Have quiet time to hear from GOD and renew/ refresh yourself.
There’s administration and then the creative. Learn the administration part so you can really enjoy the creative aspect!
