Soul Symphony Weekend: A Reimagined Celebration of Luxury, Culture, and Community

Atlanta’s social calendar is about to welcome a bold new tradition with the debut of Soul Symphony Weekend, a three-day cultural affair blending fashion, fine art, music, sport, and philanthropy. From Friday, September 19, to Sunday, September 21, the city will host this reimagined version of the beloved Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic—a celebration of Black excellence, elegance, and equestrian heritage.

Presented by The Miguel Wilson Collection and the Ride to the Olympics Foundation, with sponsorship from Bentley Atlanta, Soul Symphony Weekend elevates the luxury experience with a lineup that includes a golf outing, a rooftop welcome party, a black-tie symphony event, live fashion showcases, and thrilling polo matches.

“For seven years, we’ve built a tradition of blending luxury and culture,” says fashion designer and event founder Miguel Wilson. “This year, we’re taking that tradition to the next level by presenting the inaugural Soul Symphony Weekend—an experience elevated by a live 8-piece symphony orchestra, an internationally recognized pianist, and additional live musical performances.”

A Weekend of Distinction

The festivities begin on Friday, September 19, with the Soul Symphony Golf Outing at Eagles Landing Country Club, followed by an exclusive rooftop Welcome Party at the Kimpton Overland Hotel—setting the tone for a weekend of celebration and sophistication.

The centerpiece, the Black Tie Soul Symphony, takes place on Saturday, September 20, at the elegant Enon Ranch. Guests will enjoy a night of high fashion and world-class entertainment featuring the Soul Symphony Orchestra, composer and pianist Camden Stewart, and award-winning singers Kevin Ross and Syleena Johnson. The evening also showcases T.R.A.P. Opera singer Madelyn Brené and soulful vocalist Brady Turner. Adding to the prestige, Maryland Governor Wes Moore, the state’s first Black governor, is confirmed to attend as a special guest.

On Sunday, September 21, the tradition continues with the Atlanta Polo Party, formerly the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic, at the sprawling Bouckaert Farm. Guests will indulge in gourmet dining, signature cocktails, live music, and exhilarating equestrian exhibitions while dressed in their finest derby attire.

Honoring Equestrian Legacy

At the heart of the weekend are the polo matches, featuring two groundbreaking teams: the Morehouse Polo Club, the nation’s first HBCU polo team, and Atlanta’s BEST Academy Polo Team, the first all-Black high school polo team. Both were co-founded by Wilson through his Ride to the Olympics Foundation, underscoring the mission to diversify equestrian sports and provide opportunities for underrepresented youth.

A Star-Studded Tradition

The Polo Classic has long attracted Atlanta’s elite and celebrity guests, including Mayor Andre Dickens, Frank Ski, Pastor Jamal Bryant, Young Jeezy, Nene Leakes, Cynthia Bailey, Sheree Whitfield, Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson, Q Parker, RL of Next, and Waka Flocka. With its new reimagining, Soul Symphony Weekend is poised to continue this legacy while amplifying its cultural impact.

Giving Back with Purpose

Soul Symphony Weekend isn’t just about glamour—it’s about giving back. Proceeds benefit the Ride to the Olympics Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking socio-economic barriers in equestrian sports. By supporting youth programs and the historic polo teams, the foundation empowers young people with lessons in leadership, discipline, and cultural pride.

About Ride to the Olympics

Founded in 2017, Ride to the Olympics (RTO) provides underprivileged youth access to equestrian sports, fashion, and leadership development. RTO is dedicated to increasing awareness and participation in polo, showjumping, and dressage across the U.S., while fostering diversity and community engagement.

An Elevated Tradition
