12th Annual Women on the MOVE Summit Celebrates Leadership, Power, and Relationships

Women on the MOVE Summit 2025: A Transformative Gathering of Power, Purpose, and Leadership

The Women on the MOVE Summit returned with a resounding impact this year, drawing over 250 women leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals for a day dedicated to collaboration, connection, and creation. Hosted at the headquarters of Georgia Power, the energy inside the room matched the mission of the summit: igniting leadership and inspiring women to move with intention.

From the moment attendees arrived, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation. The day was filled with powerful conversations, thought-provoking panels, and networking opportunities that extended beyond simple introductions—connections were cultivated with a shared sense of purpose and possibility.

“First off, the event was amazing, and being around all of the powerful women in the room was inspiring,” said one attendee. “The lawyer you had up there definitely dropped a few gems, and I took a bunch of notes!”

A Fresh Perspective: The All-Male Leadership Panel

One of the most talked-about highlights of the summit was the all-male leadership panel. Far from the ordinary, this session offered attendees an eye-opening perspective from the male point of view. The panelists emphasized that true leadership is not optional—it is essential. Their candid conversations about accountability, decision-making, and the responsibility of influence resonated deeply, reminding participants that leadership is not a secondary choice but the first and only option.

Attendees described the session as “phenomenal and informative,” praising the panel for its honesty and unique insights that balanced the summit’s broader conversations on women’s empowerment.

The Theme: Power of Relationships, Power of Intention

This year’s theme underscored the importance of cultivating authentic relationships and leading with intention. Dr. Kim McNair, CEO of Kim McNair Productions and Founder of the Business Women Empowerment Project (BWEP), delivered a resounding reminder: “Relationships will take you further than any hustle ever will.”

Her words echoed throughout the summit, serving as both a call to action and a grounding truth for women in leadership.

Amplifying Women’s Voices

The summit featured an array of dynamic speakers from across Atlanta’s business, corporate, and entrepreneurial communities. Sessions ranged from exploring intentional career growth to strategies for elevating leadership influence. Corporate leaders shared personal journeys of resilience, while panelists challenged the audience to think beyond traditional notions of success and step into authentic influence.

Each moment of the summit reinforced the importance of collaboration, mentorship, and stewardship in today’s fast-paced professional landscape. Women not only left with strategies they could implement but also with renewed confidence in their own ability to make bold, intentional moves.

A Mission That Moves Forward

With Georgia Power as the presenting host, the Women on the MOVE Summit continues to advance its mission of empowering women, fostering meaningful dialogue, and inspiring purposeful action.

What began as a bold vision has now become a vital platform for transformation—one where women are not just invited to the table but are reminded that they are the architects of it.

As the summit concluded, one truth stood tall: when women move with intention, they don’t just lead—they transform communities, industries, and futures.

Celebrity photographer and disabled Vietnam veteran Jerome Dorn embodies the very definition of resilience. Born in Philadelphia, the fifth of seven children, Dorn stayed focused throughout his youth, eventually obtaining his degree in Criminal Justice. Dorn has worked with the Philadelphia Police Department, Department of Justice, World Wide Detective Agency, and several other high profile security groups. Throughout his successful career, Dorn wrestled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, an aftereffect of his military service. Battling the pain and debilitating effect of PTSD, Dorn found comfort behind the camera. Photography proved to be not only therapeutic, but life changing as well. Dorn picked up his first camera in 1970 while serving in Vietnam and knew instantly that behind the lens was where he belonged. His shooting style and photographs were special, generating a buzz in the industry. In 1985, he began his career in photojournalism, working in a variety of genres. Dorn’s credentials include fashion, lifestyle photography, photojournalism, and celebrity/red carpet coverage. Working with MSNBC, Jet Magazine, and major publications in Philadelphia and around the country, Dorn has had the honor of capturing the images of hundreds of notable celebrities and politicians including President Barack Obama, George Bush Jr, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Maya Angelou, Jesse Jackson, Rihanna, Snoop Dog, Will Smith, and Tyler Perry. Photography has sent Dorn around the globe, inspiring his passion for civil activism. In 1995, Dorn assembled and led a group of forty-two men to the Million Man March. Together, they spent five days walking from Philadelphia to Washington DC. In his travels, Dorn observed a common theme amongst the youth of the world. Many of the children he encountered seemed lost. Understanding that opportunities for at-risk youth are minimal, Dorn was inspired to make a difference. Established by Dorn in 2011, InDaHouseMedia was built on the idea that there is room in the house for everyone. With InDaHouseMedia, Dorn’s mission is to provide the future generation with positive direction through sports, music, and photography.
