By Dr. Jerome Dorn

The Heartline Series: Where Hearts Break…and Begin Again Offers a Powerful Journey Through Love, Loss, Healing, and Hope

 Release Date  4/08/2026

InDaHouseMedia proudly celebrates a major literary milestone as its Editor-in-Chief, Sharon Hilliard, officially releases her first published book, The Heartline Series: Where Hearts Break…and Begin Again: Poems of Love, Loss, and Healing.

A deeply personal and emotionally resonant poetry collection, The Heartline Series invites readers into the intimate spaces of the human heart — where love blossoms, pain lingers, lessons unfold, and healing quietly begins. Through reflective verse and heartfelt storytelling, Sharon Hilliard offers a moving literary debut that speaks to anyone who has ever loved deeply, lost painfully, and found the courage to begin again.

A Poetic Debut Rooted in Truth and Transformation

In this powerful first release, Hilliard does not simply write about emotion — she writes from within it. Her words are tender, vulnerable, and unflinchingly honest, allowing readers to see themselves in the pages and reconnect with their own emotional journeys.

From the Foreword:

“Some poets write about love.

Sharon Hilliard writes from it.”

The collection explores themes of:

• Love and longing

• Heartbreak and emotional release

• Self-reflection and personal growth

• Forgiveness and spiritual renewal

• Healing after loss

• Hope, resilience, and new beginnings

Rather than romanticizing pain, The Heartline Series honors the complexity of it — offering a safe and soulful space for readers to feel, remember, grieve, and ultimately heal.

A Book That Speaks to the Soul

The Heartline Series: Where Hearts Break…and Begin Again is more than a poetry book — it is a reflective companion for those navigating the often unspoken emotional realities of relationships, endings, and renewal.

Each poem captures moments many people experience but rarely articulate aloud:

• The thrill of first connection

• The ache of goodbye

• The silence after loss

• The courage to forgive

• The quiet strength required to love again

Through this collection, Sharon Hilliard gives readers something rare and meaningful: permission — permission to feel deeply, grieve honestly, heal openly, and love boldly.

A Proud Moment for InDaHouseMedia

As the Editor-in-Chief of InDaHouseMedia, Sharon Hilliard has long been committed to storytelling that informs, inspires, and uplifts. With the release of The Heartline Series, she now expands that voice into the literary space, offering a work that reflects not only her creative depth but also her emotional courage and spiritual insight.

This book marks a significant new chapter in her journey as a writer, creative, and storyteller — and serves as a reminder that some of the most powerful stories are the ones written from the heart.

Celebrity photographer and disabled Vietnam veteran Jerome Dorn embodies the very definition of resilience. Born in Philadelphia, the fifth of seven children, Dorn stayed focused throughout his youth, eventually obtaining his degree in Criminal Justice. Dorn has worked with the Philadelphia Police Department, Department of Justice, World Wide Detective Agency, and several other high profile security groups. Throughout his successful career, Dorn wrestled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, an aftereffect of his military service. Battling the pain and debilitating effect of PTSD, Dorn found comfort behind the camera. Photography proved to be not only therapeutic, but life changing as well. Dorn picked up his first camera in 1970 while serving in Vietnam and knew instantly that behind the lens was where he belonged. His shooting style and photographs were special, generating a buzz in the industry. In 1985, he began his career in photojournalism, working in a variety of genres. Dorn’s credentials include fashion, lifestyle photography, photojournalism, and celebrity/red carpet coverage. Working with MSNBC, Jet Magazine, and major publications in Philadelphia and around the country, Dorn has had the honor of capturing the images of hundreds of notable celebrities and politicians including President Barack Obama, George Bush Jr, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Maya Angelou, Jesse Jackson, Rihanna, Snoop Dog, Will Smith, and Tyler Perry. Photography has sent Dorn around the globe, inspiring his passion for civil activism. In 1995, Dorn assembled and led a group of forty-two men to the Million Man March. Together, they spent five days walking from Philadelphia to Washington DC. In his travels, Dorn observed a common theme amongst the youth of the world. Many of the children he encountered seemed lost. Understanding that opportunities for at-risk youth are minimal, Dorn was inspired to make a difference. Established by Dorn in 2011, InDaHouseMedia was built on the idea that there is room in the house for everyone. With InDaHouseMedia, Dorn’s mission is to provide the future generation with positive direction through sports, music, and photography.
