The 2025 Beauty Honors Awards Ceremony Made a Powerful Atlanta Debut

By Dr. Jerome Dorn

Atlanta witnessed a historic moment in beauty and wellness as The 2025 Beauty Honors Awards Ceremony made its highly anticipated debut, delivering a night of glamour, gratitude, and groundbreaking recognition. The red-carpet celebration honored the city’s top stylists, barbers, makeup artists, estheticians, wellness professionals, and community trailblazers who have elevated the industry through excellence, innovation, and purpose.

Held as a community-driven experience, the ceremony spotlighted nominees and winners who were selected through public submissions and voting on the official Beauty Honors platform. The atmosphere was electric as industry leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and influencers gathered to celebrate legacy and impact.

Honoring Atlanta’s Industry Icons

Special honors were presented to two of Atlanta’s most influential figures. Mychel “Snoop” Dillard was recognized as an entrepreneur, industry powerhouse, and cultural icon whose contributions have shaped the city’s beauty and business landscape. Patrice “Sway” McKinney was celebrated as a trailblazing entrepreneur, educator, author, and investor, honored for her dedication to mentorship, innovation, and community impact.

The ceremony also paid tribute to Lifetime Achievement Honorees, recognizing professionals with more than three decades of transformational influence within the beauty industry.

Investing in the Future

A major highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Cosmetology Scholarship and the Business Boost Scholarship, reinforcing the program’s commitment to developing the next generation of beauty and wellness leaders. These awards represented hope, opportunity, and continued access to education and entrepreneurship.

A Night of Elegance and Experience

Guests enjoyed an elegant cocktail hour, a formal dinner, and an inspiring awards presentation, complemented by immersive beauty and wellness brand activations. The red carpet came alive with exclusive interviews and real-time social media coverage, masterfully hosted by Big Sexy, who brought charisma and energy to the evening.

Purpose Beyond the Spotlight

Beyond the glamour, The Beauty Honors served as the signature fundraising initiative for Horace Empowerment, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to youth advancement, college access, and creating technical education pathways. The event successfully blended celebration with purpose, ensuring that the night’s impact extended well beyond the ballroom.

The Atlanta debut of The Beauty Honors Awards Ceremony was not just an event — it was a cultural milestone that honored excellence, invested in the future, and elevated the spirit of community throughout the beauty and wellness industry.
